True Lagoon Wreck Diving

Diving the sunken Japanese Imperial fleet at Truk Lagoon, Micronesia just north of the equator deep in the Pacific Ocean.

Japan’s main base servicing the South Pacific in World War II. It was considered the most formidable of all Japanese strongholds in the Pacific but in February 1944 was discovered by US surveillance aircraft before a bombing mission was planned and executed sending over 50 ships heavily laden with equipment, supplies and troops to the bottom. It is truly the world’s most premier wreck diving site, with perhaps exception of the wrecks of Bikini Atoll sunk through the nuclear tests of the 1950s.

It remains illegal to bring anything from these wrecks to the surface, resulting in a $10,000 fine meaning that these wrecks are in incredible condition with a vast array of artefacts still intact. A wreck diver’s heaven – Absolutely mindblowing!
